26/7/26 Virginia Waters

 

   An afternoon drive took us out to Virginia Waters , not too far away from Windsor . There's an adventure play ground , cafe & gift shop and expansive areas to walk around . This is the cafe / entrance building behind the gardens .

We all chose to go for a walk around the Obelisk Pond and see what we find . Isla was hoping for some trees to climb in /around/through . 

There's a system of lakes & ponds , hence the name . There seems to be these cleverly painted statues doing the rounds everywhere we've been of late , todays was an elephant .

This fungus caught my eye when we were checking out the lake . It was jutting out of the trunk about 180mm .

Isla was happy , there were many trees that she could go climbing through and swinging off . 

A bridge we have to go over appeared through a gap in the trees.

          

The other side of the bridge was more gardens and things to do & see .

 

Despite the lack of rain over here , the gardens still looked in reasonable condition .

Another nice afternoon walk with these guys .
