Time for a day out with Justin , Isla & Taylor , before we head off home . We headed out to Hatchlands Park - an impressive English Manor & country property , open to the public . They had an exhibition of piano's inside the manor , but that was only open from 1-3 pm . Here's the approach to the manor house .
Gardens are starting to look a bit tired - to be expected with the English Summer just around the corner - they tell me it does arrive eventually - we're still waiting 😆 Some flowers were out though .
This is an interesting variety of something ??? 🤔
The National Trust are in charge of opening the park - and charge accordingly , for entry and parking . Best advice is to join the National Trust back home before going to England - then you get free admission & parking !! They do a treasure hunt , with a pirate theme - treasure chests are located around the property , but you still have to find them . Inside is a letter , each letter forms a word to discover at the end of the treasure hunt . It gets you out & about , and walking through fields & forests & down to a lake . Here's one of the treasure chests .
On the walk , we found this chainsaw carved dog - clever operator !! Becca must have been a treasured family member .
Here's another view of the manor house .
We headed home to prepare for our next flight - 12 hours to Singapore - looking forward to that one - not!! Here's a map link :- https://maps.app.goo.gl/7PEsrUHMAiaEm9e78
