Another day another sunrise , another great day ahead .
We headed out on an early scenic , into the mangroves and tributaries in Porosus creek . This is certainly croc country .
On the banks we could see what I thought were leaves , turns out they were actually crabs as well as mud skippers - so much for my colour vision !! Here's the proof - the mud skipper is beside the crab .
Views were still awesome , cliffs towering above us .
We saw a few crocs , but it may have been a bit early for them , so we headed back to the boat . Keep an eye on the bird - a Brahminy Kite - another of Lennie's secrets . It's been coming in and grabbing some meat off a stick , a very short stick . The photo of the kite near Lennies hand was courtesy of fellow traveller Andy .
Whilst this was going on , I noticed a Sea Eagle fishing on the other side of the boat . It swooped once and missed , then stopped up in a tree ready for the next attempt . I waited & watched for another 5 mins before it swooped again . Another bad attempt , but I did get a great photo - discovered later on the computer when I zoomed in - look at the splash behind the eagle !!
I can imagine that fish saying haha you missed me .
We cruised out of Porosus creek and found another cruise boat , this one probably the largest we've seen so far .
Back tracking our route from yesterday , we headed to a rock - they've nicknamed it Thor's Hammer - it does blend into the surrounding scenery , but it's there and huge !
There were also many more caves .
Back to the boat and some lunch , before heading across to Wandjina Island for some rock art and a swim ! We had to lie down to see this rock art .
And this would be Crocodile Rock of course !!😆
Swim done , we headed out for a scenic before sunset , then relaxed on the upper deck with a beer and watched the sunset again .
