Clean up & chill out

The day starts with no fog , just blue skies again - is it getting boring ??? - not for us !!!! , we are loving it !!!
Breakfast out of the way , we ventured outside to soak up some sun - sounds great , but after about ten minutes , you can feel the sun burning in . We chatted to Garry for a while , before getting ready and heading over to Gavin & Belinda's new house , to collect the mail and check some things . We then headed down to the pumps that supply Gavin's block with water from the Fitzroy River . The pumps were quite a distance away , past a couple of turf farms and other houses . The river is over 100m wide here , and like a lot of rivers up this way , looks a bit murky - a bit like the Wingecarribee River at Moss Vale .

We drove around a few different back roads , just checking things out , before heading back to the house . Garry was donating blood at the Hospital , so I went into town with him to get some shopping. He showed me a couple of lookouts near the hospital and the lake below the Botanical Gardens & The Zoo . There were four turtles sitting on a log in the sun on the waters edge - there were another 20 or more in the water near the bank - you could see them just below the surface with their heads poking out of the water .
While we were in town , Lyn did some cleaning and some cooking , and enjoyed some peace & quiet.
Back home again , the days activities were almost over , with one important one to take care of - a quiet beer of course .
That's it for today , a quiet one for us , getting organised for tomorrow , when we will be getting the ute serviced in Rockhampton .
