Freo 12/11/15

After a very casual morning , cooking and reading , we headed to Fremantle to have a look around . We have been there a couple of times , but never had a look around a lot of it . As we drove in , we realised parking is at a premium here , and they charge you for it too . Streets are narrow and there are some spectacular buildings . We eventually found a spot to park for 15 mins , at the dock near the maritime museum and the cruise ship dock . Lunch was called for , so we sat and watched the container port and dock on the other side of the river while we ate . There were several motor cruisers heading out for an afternoon cruise , and some other smaller boats coming back in , all were dwarfed by the container ship and the P&O cruise boat tied up at the dock not far from us .
Lunch finished , we headed into and around the streets trying to find a parking spot , to no avail , so headed about 3klms back south till we finally found one . The bikes then came off and we rode back . The bikes enabled us to get into streets and spots you would otherwise have to walk to . We checked out fishermans wharf , where there are many restaurants , then rode out & round some of the marina . Up to the round house , which was used as a prison at one stage , for a view out to sea , looking at Rottnest Island and Garden Island .
We rode through the tunnel under the round house before going past the railway station and onwards through the main street of Freo .
The buildings are magnificient - I'll let the photo's do the talking .

We headed back to the RV again , some salsa and a beer was waiting patiently for us .
Todays sunset wasn't too bad , and reflected quite well on the RV .

That's it , another day down , hope you've enjoyed the photos .
