On the Move 3/11/15

Today we prepared for another drive , this time heading southeast . The destination for today was Nambung Station - it's inland from Cervantes and Jurien Bay , both known for their crayfish and The Pinnacles in Nambung National Park.
We had some headwind today , which put the fuel usage up a little, but when you have to go , you have to go .
Geraldton was thoroughly enjoyable , it was nice to be able to go for a ride or a walk on the beach without having to drive anywhere . The wind was reasonable, except for one night !
We chose to go down the Brand Hwy instead of Indian Ocean Drive , it took us through wheat fields and wind turbines , uphill and downhill and through a few small townships - lots of old stone cottages and buildings . We finally saw some cattle and sheep stations.
The wildflowers have certainly finished for the majority, but there are still quite a few around .
We reached Nambung Station just after lunch , after leaving the highway - 30 Kim's of bitumen , then 14 Kim's of really good gravel road .
Not much more to report today , just about got carried away by the flies . There is phone service , but internet is slow , so that's the reason the blog is behind times , we'll catch up with it all in a rush no doubt .
