18/9/22 Crab Creek Rd & Gantheaume Point sunset Broome

Back again , heading of to Broome today for a week or so . Broome has quietened down quite a lot , getting somewhere to stay is easy with plenty of vacancies . We headed into Broome Caravan Park again as it's usually quiet and away from town .

We headed out to Crab Creek again , it's a special place and is always changing - high tide low tide , whenever . Today we struck it at low tide , water was out a long way , leaving mud flats exposed . Colours changing from the red pindan cliffs to pink sandy beaches , green mangroves and the aqua waters of Roebuck Bay .

    And from above .

Multicoloured stones cover stretches of sand , and will be covered again at high tide .

   Here's a contrast in colours .

The views from above are amazing .

The curved line is where the water starts - so left of that is all mudflats .

Brolga flew past in formation - they are big birds !!

This is near the boat ramp ?? more like a sandy beach covered with large slabs of rock - you have to know what the tides are doing to launch a boat here - a lot of people drive down close to the water and unload the boat onto the sand , drive their car back to the carpark , and by the tine they walk down to the boat , it's nearly floating on the incoming tide - a couple of more minutes and they're off fishing .

This is Crab Creek Rd , you have to like orange up here .

It is very easy to look at the views here .

Next day we headed out to Reddell Beach for sunset , pindan cliffs glowing in the late afternoon sun .

And another glorious Broome sunset .

We drove around to the port and watched this cruise boat depart for one of the last cruises for the season.

That's a few days of our stay in Broome , more to come . Here's a map link :- https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=19h9ERRFDdIXph-_uEE05Cyyr4OnGACw&usp=sharing
