14/9/17 On the move

 Okay Mareeba that's enough , we're off !!

After being at the park for 5 weeks ( 2 of that up to the tip & back ) , we decided it was time to head off - the mail I'd been waiting for still hadn't arrived - we gave it 3 weeks .
Packing up was a bit strange after being in the one place for a while , but we soon got back into the swing of things . The owners of Trinity Plains Caravan Park farewelled us , they are a lovely couple and have done a great job with the park - it's only been open since December last year - and there's plenty of work going on , with new cabins being built now , the facilities are excellent - we will be back !!
Off to Atherton to do some shopping , then onward to Ravenshoe and the railway caravan park for a few days . We'd forgotten that Ravenshoe is Queensland's highest town - that means hills and climbing winding roads . This is the view back to the east .

Very similar to Robertson & Combine in NSW , with red soils and rolling hills - this area is really dry at the moment , but is still green .
After setting up and having lunch , we headed out to Little Millstream Falls - we didn't get here last time we were here , so today was the day .
The falls are a 700m return walk , and today was the warmest day we've had for a while , getting to 32 degrees . We loaded the backpack with our water bottles , the drone , and headed down . There are glimpses off the falls on the way down the track , showing some promise .

Arriving at the top of the falls , we kept going around and down to the huge pool below .

There were some pink pea type flowers on the way down that stood out .

I set the drone up and took some photos .

The water flows down several smaller falls then splits into 2 or 3 separate flows before dropping into the main pool .

With some amazing photo's taken , we headed back up to the ute . On the way we found some finches playing around on the path and in the grass .

 That's it for today , here's the map link :- https://drive.google.com/open?id=1juuVS0gpN13YTxnyxfKQu3y7FXg&usp=sharing
