17/9/17 Millstream Reserve

Yesterday we headed back to Atherton to get a few essentials , so I managed a game of golf and Lyn did some swimming , shopping & reading .
Golf was good , I had 41 points , nett 66 for the day , and came 4th on a count back with 2 others , and won a nearest the pin - a good day out !!

Today was spent doing a few things that needed attention , a lovely chicken carbonara for lunch , and after lunch a walk around Millstream Reserve . The reserve backs onto the railway precinct where we are parked , so it was only about 400m from us .
The railway precinct has a lot of old equipment on display , this truck was amongst it .

This is their steam engine .

The walk took us around the reserve and along the Millstream Creek , it has an old weir across the creek and is a beautiful area .

A flowering weed that is out in numbers at the moment .

 The old weir wall .

Remnants of the old water wheel beside the weir . It supplied power to the timber mill at the time .

There are remnants of an old butter factory as well . Many butterflies of all sizes were floating around the place .

We spotted a feather lying on the ground and were quite taken by it's amazing patterns .

 That was our weekend in a nutshell , Cheers , here's a map link :- https://drive.google.com/open?id=11eJvkiZ2Djrxn1CLl_3ATIeTpbA&usp=sharing
