Augusta was the destination today to play golf with Kym & Caroline . For those that don't know , Augusta is pretty much the south west tip of Western Australia - any further south west and you're wet!! It's very popular at this time of year , it seems like half of Perth has taken over for the period between New Year and school going back , cars and people everywhere . We arrived early so went down to the inlet and took some photos .
Then it was time to catch up with our friends , they weren't expecting us to turn up at golf . The course is very hilly , so I opted for an electric cart , rather than walking the course and petering out half way round . This was my first full round of golf in 12 months , so I wasn't expecting any miracles - just as well 🤣🤣🤣 . This is looking back up toward the clubhouse from the 9th tee box .
The were some huge grass trees scattered around the course , here's a few .
Views from the tee boxes on the back 9 were spectacular , looking out to the Indian Ocean .
After golf and a couple of cool beers , we went up to a lookout above the clubhouse , showing some of the front 9 holes . It's very dry down here at the moment .
