Today we moved north , not far , up to Busselton , only an hour away . We will stay here till Thursday , so Lyn can visit the hospital in Bunbury for a follow up check .
The temperature climbed as we drove , it was going to be a hot one - Perth was expecting 40 degrees, Busselton only 36 degrees . On the news , a report of an out of control fire at Pinjarra , we could see the smoke from it getting blown out to sea and we are 2 hours drive away from there !!!
Before we knew it , we head arrived , so we found a side road and parked - it was only 11am . A walk along the beach was called for - there were only about 20 people there . The water was flat , as it is when there is an offshore breeze/wind , with waves only 200mm high . It was quite a pleasant walk.
Back to the van for lunch , then we went and checked in and set up . That done , it was time for a swim in the pool - Lyn had a sit on the steps into the pool with the shower bag covering the plaster .
It worked a treat , we both cooled down nicely .
Unloading the kayak with one person was interesting to say the least , but I managed , next was Lyn's bike . The ute is booked in for a service tomorrow - that's why things have been taken off !
