Leaving Theodore , we head to Moura , past cotton fields - they are starting to harvest the cotton now .
Some more Bottle trees .
The water tank in Moura has a mural on it - cotton & galah .
Stopping out of town at the Dawson River boat ramp & free camp . River Redgums were getting a good soak .
It seemed like an ideal time for an aerial view of the river , and whatever else was there - there was plenty - a huge dam full of water to irrigate the cotton fields of course !!
Onwards through Rolleston & Springsure . We filled up with fuel at an old fuel depot off the main road , and had a chat with the 84 year old owner ? He told us how old he was twice - 84 in September , and showed us a card trick , and the same joke twice - we laughed just as much as the first time and went on our way . There's a little spot called Gindie before you get to Emerald , and we found a good spot to camp off the side of the road . Time for some aerial shots again . Lots of crops being grown , probably some wheat and who knows what else .
Rather large fields .
There's canals or drains running through the fields , and the water body the top of photo is Lake Maraboon .
