Leaving Longreach today , we weren't unhappy about that - $165 for 3 night's in a van park !!was a bit steep , but if you want to stay , that's your choice . The Qantas Experience started at $70 and the Stockmans Hall of Fame was up there as well - we felt like Longreach had a hand in our wallet .
Onwards and upwards , toward Winton . We found a nice little free camp beside the Darr River and decided we would stay the night . After walking around the tracks , we found our spot and set up . Here's some aerial shots of the river & highway - at least the roads are starting to improve a little !! There's also a rail bridge top right as well .
The clearing in the photo is for a power line .
This is where the power line , railway & highway all seem to merge together & head northwest .
A Whistling Kite also paid us a visit .
Then there was sunset over the river - tough view heh !
